Someone appears to be trying to take advantage of the generosity of the friends and family of Lou Arestad with online fundraising efforts purportedly to benefit the family. But, according the family, they are not doing any such fundraising. Arestad passed away last Sunday.
There has been more than one attempt to create accounts on GoFundMe claiming to be raising money in memory of Arestad or for the benefit of his family and Foundation.
The family recommends, if you are approached online by someone claiming to represent the family in a fundraising effort, to ignore them. They do not represent the family.
