Bird or animal blamed for north Ferndale power outage

Puget Sound Energy reports nearly 50 of their customers in an area along the northern half of Pacific Heights Drive lost power this morning due to equipment failure.

Neighbors in the area reported hearing a loud boom just prior to the power going out around 8:30am.

As of 9:20am, PSE’s estimate for restoring power is 11am.
