The Whatcom County Auditor, Election Division reported new vote counts today from the general election on November 8th.
And with an estimated 1 ballot yet to count, Proposition No. 2016-1, to approve “Regular Property Tax Levy for Emergency Medical Services,” has finally garnered enough votes to pass. All previous counts have shown the proposition just short of the required 60% needed to pass.
Today’s tabulation, reported at 4:15pm today, shows 64,061 (60.01%) in favor and 42,684
(39.99%) opposed.
The next ballot count is scheduled for Wednesday, November 23rd.
