Whatcom County Fire District 7 personnel were dispatched about 6:40am to a fully involved mobile home fire in the Ferndale Mobile Home Park (formerly known as Duncan’s) located in the 1900 block of Trigg Road.
2 vehicles parked adjacent to the mobile home were also involved.
According to Whatcom County Fire District 7 Division Chief Ben Boyko, the family members in the mobile home were able to get out and were accounted for. A child and an adult were transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Boyko said the local American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family with their immediate food, clothing and housing needs.
No official cause was available and personnel from the Fire Marshal’s office had been dispatched to the scene to investigate.
