Early morning car vs pole crash leaves hundreds without power this morning

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Strand Road and Valley Highway (SR9) this morning, July 3rd, about 1:30am due to a report of car versus pole crash.

The crash caused a fire on the pole which was near a propane tank according to Glahn. Whatcom County Fire District 16 personnel dealt with that fire and remained on scene for about an hour.
