Driver walks away from rollover off I-5 at Main Street

FERNDALE, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the area of northbound I-5 and Main Street late this afternoon, December 17th, at about 4:30pm due to a report of a rollover crash.

They came upon a passenger vehicle on its roof in the middle of Barrett Road and a debris trail leading from the northbound lanes of I-5 through a knocked down fence.

Whatcom County Fire District 7 aid crews assessed and released the driver at the scene and Washington State Patrol was investigating. The driver was the only person reported to be in the vehicle.

Barrett Road was closed for about 45 minutes while the crash was investigated and the vehicle removed.
