Ferndale Police set up a check point today, April 13th, on the east end of the Main Street Bridge and were stopping drivers seen driving distracted and/or not wearing their seat belts.
There have been similar emphasis patrols in the area before and more are likely to follow.
These emphasis patrols are funded by Federal and State agency grants that focus on problematic traffic issues and locations.
