Costumes for Ferndale school performance reported stolen

Type of bags reported stolen except the actual bags are black or navy-blue with the letters "RS" printed on them. Source: Ferndale Police Department

FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale Police Department reported yesterday, Thursday, April 13th, that someone had stolen duffle bags from a truck parked at Skyline Elementary School. The bags contain children’s costumes from the Missoula Children’s Theatre to be used for a performance today.

The bags are black or navy-blue and have “RS” printed on them.

The costumes are not worth much and rather than press charges, everyone involved would appreciate it if they were simply returned so that the kids can wear them for tomorrow’s performance of Rumpelstiltskin.

If you know anything about this, please encourage the bags to be returned to Skyline Elementary as quickly as possible.

Later on Friday, school officials said the Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY) had heard about the theft and provided costumes for the performances at Skyline.
