Today, September 9th, the City of Ferndale Community Development Director Jori Burnett communicated in a letter to Artur Rojsza, builder and owner of the “clock tower” residence at 2147 Main Street, and his wife Margaret Rojsza, that the final framing inspection report provided to the city by Rojsza’s engineer accomplished what had been required in the February settlement agreement. This allows Rojsza to resume working on the exterior under a building permit that had been revoked but is now again in effect.
The initial inspection report submitted on June 3rd identified several areas requiring attention. Rojszas had 90 days from the date of that survey to address those items and submit a satisfactory inspection report. The City’s approval indicates this has been accomplished.
When asked yesterday about the current status of the project, Rojsza said in an email to Discover Ferndale,
Lots of changes will clock tower experience in next 7 weeks. Hopefully finally we can enjoy some progress on our own project, so can our community.
The February settlement agreement requires all exterior construction, roofing and siding now be completed by October 31, 2015.
