Wednesday’s Ferndale City Council Committees meetings and next Monday’s Tuesday’s regular Ferndale City Council meeting have been canceled according to City Staff today.
City Clerk Susan Duncan said in an email the reason for the cancelations were light agendas. According to Duncan, nothing was scheduled to be brought up for councilmembers’ consideration during the Public Works committee or the Planning and Land Use committee. Items on the Finance and Administration committee agenda were considered not time-sensitive and could be put off two weeks until the next scheduled committee meetings.
Regular City Council meeting agendas are often the result of the discussion and debate that occur during the council committee meetings. In the absence of those meetings this week, there would be little if anything on next Monday’s Tuesday’s regular meeting agenda so it too was canceled.
