Monisha M. Brandt, of the Ferndale office of financial services firm Edward Jones, has earned the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
According to an Edward Jones news release, Brandt successfully completed the CFP Board’s initial certification requirements, which include completion of financial planning coursework and passing a comprehensive examination.
Coursework includes the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits and estate planning.
Individuals who hold CFP® certification must agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and uphold the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards.
Brandt has been a financial advisor for 16 years, serving investors in Whatcom County for the past 13 years.
