Law enforcement responded to a report of a neighbor seeing someone running from a house in north Ferndale this afternoon.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies, K-9 and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) joined the search for the suspect in the area of between Woodland Road, Zell Road, Delta Line Road and Harksell Road. CBP’s helicopter could be seen hovering over the area.

Law enforcement on scene reported “making contact with an individual” and with that called off the search. Notably absent from the communications was a reference to a subject being “detained” or “in custody.”
