About 8pm tonight law enforcement from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a armed robbery with a handgun at the AM/PM Minimart at 1197 Slater Road.
Minutes later, a Ferndale Police officer reported via radio to have spotted a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description on Belfern Drive off West Smith Road (see map below). Additional Ferndale officers and officers from the Bellingham Police Department along with Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies converged on the location while others worked with witnesses and security video at the store. They were able to confirm the truck matched the description and shortly after had one male subject detained.
