I hate to say it, but in these times you just can’t afford to be helpful to people. The only thing I would offer, through a closed door would to be to call them some help for their car. Or 911 for them. Please, I don’t care how big of heart you have, don’t ever open your door for anyone and always be suspect of people knocking on doors.
