Ferndale Arts Commission (FAC) wants everyone to know this Thursday is Poem In Your Pocket Day.
This Thursday, April 28th, you can expect a gift or discount when you visit any of the participating Ferndale businesses and read a poem pulled from your pocket.
According to the FAC, participating businesses and the “goodies” they are offering include:
- Second Avenue Sports – Buy one item, get one free
- The Checkered Apron – Free cupcake
- Ferndale True Value Hardware – Something sweet
- Ferndale ACE Hardware – Free popcorn
- Ferndale Library – Free SunChips®
- City of Ferndale – Free City of Ferndale Pin
- Ferndale Chamber of Commerce – A goodie
- Good Burger – Small fries or shake
- Find Your Fashion – Discount sale price
- Find Your Fashion Again – Discount sale price
- McKay’s Variety and Antiques – Discount sale price
- AllisonAmy Jewelry – Free bracelet
Poem In Your Pocket Day is part of National Poetry Month, recognized since 1996 when it was started by the Academy of American Poets.
