The weather forecast for today through Friday warns of high temperatures in the 80s in the Ferndale area.
The National Weather Service issued a special statement this morning forewarning of the “return of very warm temperatures over much of western Washington Thursday and Friday.”
A combination of a strong upper level high pressure ridge and offshore flow will result in another round of very warm temperatures for most of the area Thursday and Friday. Interior lowland locations will see afternoon highs both days are expected to be in the mid to upper 80s with temperatures in the southwest interior expected to reach the low 90s.
Coastal locations usually spared from this level of heat will also see temperatures in the 80s on Thursday… especially along the north coast.

Hot weather increases the potential for dehydration and heat related illnesses. NWS advises the elderly, the young and those who work or exercise outdoors will be the most vulnerable to heat related illnesses if extra precautions are not taken.
