WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of 6am this morning, Friday, January 19th, Whatcom County schools and others have announced the following due to snow accumulations and slick roads.
- Bellingham Schools – closed for the day
- Bellingham Christian Schools – campus closed – remote learning day
- Assumption Catholic School – closed for the day
- Ferndale School District – closed for the day
- Lummi Nation School – closed for the day
- Blaine School District – closed for the day
- Lynden School District – closed for the day
- Lynden Christian Schools – no announcement
- Nooksack Valley School District – closed for the day
- Meridian School District – closed for the day
- Mount Baker School District – closed for the day
- Providence Christian School NW – no announcement
- Whatcom Intergenerational High School – closed for the day
- Bellingham Technical College – closed for the day
- Western Washington University – no announcement
- Whatcom Community College – closed for the day
- Whatcom County Library System – buildings will open at noon
- Sanitary Services Co. (SSC) – all routes and trucks not running
- Amtrak Cascades – no announcement
- Mount Baker Highway (SR542) – traction tires advised, oversize vehicles prohibited
- Whatcom Transportation Authority
- Route 71X – no Mission Road
- Route 512 – Lake Whatcom Boulevard, both directions
- Route 75X is delayed until 7:10 am
- Route 72X – no Van Zandt, going as far as Kendall Fire Station, bus will not travel on Deming Road, Y Road or Noon Road
- Kendall neighborhoods will have a small vehicle circulator.
