WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Officials with the What-Comm 911 Center issued the following Public Safety Alert about 2:45pm on Monday, June 15, 2026, to cellular phones in Whatcom County.
Whatcom County is experiencing a disruption to 911 services. If you are unable to reach help when dialing 911, hang up and dial 360-676-6911 to reach the 911 dispatch center directly.
According to system status detection service Downdetector, people began reporting problems with 911 services shortly after 2:30pm in multiple locations across the US but the majority were located in northwest Washington State.

News agencies are reporting 911 services disruptions across the states of Arizona, Iowa, Texas as well as Washington.
No reason for the disruption had been given as of 4pm.
Update 5:55pm: Service has been restored.
