Not everything that happens in and around Ferndale ends up in a story. The daily “Ticker” is where you can find those items, answer the question, “why did I hear sirens?.”
5:30pm – Neighbors asked about a helicopter that had been flying around Church Road neighborhoods for about a half-an-hour. It was tracked down to above the fields northeast of the Slater and Imhof Roads intersection where it appeared to be practicing maneuvers. Given the blue over white color scheme, this was a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) similar to the one in this picture.-

2:30pm – Police and aid units responded to a two-car accident on Main Street at Barrett Road. At least one person reported to have minor injuries.
