Teachers approve contract – school on track to start on time

Members of the Ferndale teachers’ union, Ferndale Education Associate (FEA), met tonight to vote on a new contract.

The teachers met tonight to vote on approving or rejecting the two-year agreement negotiated between FEA and the Ferndale School District. According to FEA, union members voted unanimously to approve the 2016-2018 contract.

The vote clears the way for schools to start next Wednesday, September 7th. Details of the contract have not been released.
