FERNDALE, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the area of Barrett Road and Main Street in Ferndale about 8:30am on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, due to reports of a crash.
Emergency radio reports from the scene reported a semi-truck had hit a power pole and wires were down.

Main Street/Axton Road was reportedly closed to all traffic between Barrett Road and Axton Court.
Puget Sound Energy reported a power outage in that vicinity that was first reported about 8:30am and impacted 1,134 of their residential and commercial customers’ addresses. The outage area stretched from the Nooksack River to almost Northwest Drive and followed Main Street. The estimated time for restoring power as of 8:45am is noon.
Ferndale Police radioed from the scene that all the lanes were reopened about 9:20am.
