Puget Sound Energy has reported 302 of their customers in western Ferndale lost power just before 4pm today. The cause is currently unknown. PSE, applying their 2 hour standard duration, estimates power being restored by 6pm.
This area was previously impacted by a power outage on October 14th when, during a wind storm, a tree fell across Grandview Road taking out power lines.

PSE reports all impacted customers have had their power restored.
Update 10:45pm
The number of impacted customers is down to 109. Progress is definitely happening. The current estimate for restoring power is 10:35pm so, again, perhaps “any time now.”

Just a little longer seems to be the message as the time to restore power is now 10:25pm.

PSE provided updated information which places the estimated time to restore power at 10pm. Perhaps that’s a way of implying, “any time now.” The number of PSE customers impacted is down to 233.

The estimated time for restoring power has been updated to 8pm. Number of customers impacted reduced to 282.
