A long-time downtown Ferndale business, Accurate Property Sales & Management (APSM), was recently sold to Optimus Property Solutions.
Husband and wife, JD and Ellie Pullman, have been in the real estate business in one way or another since the 1980s and most recently they as the owners and operators of Accurate Property Sales & Management located at 2046 Main Street. According to their son and company spokesman, James Pullman, the company was sold to Gary Haugen of Blaine effective September 1st and thereafter is being operated as Optimus Property Solutions located at 5711 Vista Drive (on the corner of 4th Avenue and Vista Drive).
Optimus Property Solutions Designated Broker Julia Olson told Discover Ferndale all staff from APSM have remained with the company during the transition with the exception of the Pullmans. Olson noted, as a result she is the only new member of the team. She said her past property experience includes work with the Housing Authority and property management companies in Bellingham. “There is no interest in making any big changes,” Olson told Discover Ferndale. “Everyone’s leases will stay the same.”
According to Olson, Optimus Property Solutions offers property management services throughout Whatcom County including collecting rent, maintenance and assisting tenants. Their office is also equipped with a residential licensed real estate agent. Allpoints Handyman, also run by the Pullmans, was also acquired by Optimus and will continue to operate under the Allpoints Handyman name and is available to assist anyone in need of handyman services.

Click for more informationPullman said his parents are looking forward to start a new chapter in their lives. “This is a big change for the family, since the business has employed all family members at some point,” James told Discover Ferndale. “My parents wanted their clients to be treated well [after the sale] and are confident Gary and Julia will do that.”
The Optimus office can be reached by calling 360-384-HOME, the number previously assigned to APSM for the past two decades. The Optimus Property Solutions website was under development as of the time of this article but can be reached in the near future at optimusps.net.
James said the Pullmans are tidying up the old business location with plans to put the historic bank building up for sale in the near future. The Pullmans have owned the building since 2003 according to Whatcom County Assessor records.
