BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the 4100 block of Northwest Drive about 1pm today, October 20th, due to a report of a large fire in a transient camp on the west side of the road.
Initial reports were all lanes of Northwest Drive were being closed north of Aldrich Road and south of Mahogany Avenue to provide firefighters access to the area.
The road was reopened after 2pm when firefighters cleared the scene.
