Mark Peterson returned to his office today, not to return to the post he recently retired from but to help transition Ferndale’s new finance director into the position.
Sirke Salminen was recently hired to replace Mark Peterson after he announced his retirement after 12 years at the position. Today was Salminen’s first day on the job for the City of Ferndale.
Salminen was previously the finance director for the City of Lynden where she had been since November of 2014.
