This morning about 2:30am, a neighbor in the Sunset Park neighborhood (see map) was startled by the sound of mailboxes being slammed shut. Upon opening the door and looking outside, a male was observed taking mail from a mail box. Once the person realized they were being watched, they sped off in what appears to be a white Scion xB. The neighbor was able to take the photo of the car as it sped away.
The neighbor later realized their car had also been broken into and items stolen.
The suspect is described as a white male in their late 20s and around 5’8″ with a medium build. He was wearing a dark purple hooded sweater and dark jeans.
