Bellingham Police say they have identified a suspect in the March 2nd robbery of a Bellingham Whatcom Educational Credit Union (WECU) branch as Leevi Allen Rosso, age 24.

Probable cause exists to arrest Rosso for 1st degree robbery according to Bellingham Police.

In August of 2019, a notice of a felony warrant from the state Department of Corrections’ Everett office for Rosso was published by the Everett Herald. Rosso was described in the notice as 5 feet and 9 inches tall, weighing 154 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and was identified as a gang member.

On February 12th, a bench warrant was issued by Whatcom County Superior Court for Rosso’s arrest after he failed to appear for a hearing while out on a $15,000 appearance bond. The hearing was related to a charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of an illegal firearm resulting from being pulled over with a sawed-off shotgun in the trunk of a car in July of 2019.

Rosso was convicted of 2nd degree robbery and unlawful possession of firearms in Snohomish County Superior Court in 2017.
