WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Today, August 5, 2025, a Primary Election was held via mail-in ballots. There were several primary district elections that were only on the ballots of voters within each district. In contrast, the Whatcom County Rural Library District proposition levy was on every Whatcom County voter’s ballot with the exception of those within Bellingham.
The following are the initial results after a total of 34,862 ballots had been counted by 8pm today. In the case of primary elections, the top 2 candidates will progress to the General Election in November.
The two propositions require only a simple majority to pass.
