Jamie Morecombe told local certified florist Ginger Burress that it had always been her dream to run a florist shop but things never seemed line up. But, after recently leaving a position at The Silver Reef Casino & Hotel, she drove past a cute building that was available and a place she could see making her dream come true.
Morecombe contacted Burress and they struck up an arrangement where Burress would come on board as Morecombe’s mentor and lead designer for a year. In addition, Burress’ team of Linka Sobkowski, Dani Ludwigsen and delivery driver Walker Nelson will be helping build the business. And with that, Honeysuckle Floral and Gifts was born.
The store will feature flowers and gifts for all occasions. Fresh flower arrangements will be created to order with delivery available. Gifts made by local artists previously featured in Burress’ business, Floralescents, will be displayed and for sale in the store.
