Home security camera records apparent fuel theft

Security cameras have recorded what a resident says is another brazen theft of property at a residence in the Ferndale area.

Home security videos of a person taking gasoline containers from a residence without permission (December 14 and 16, 2018). 

According to the resident, 10 gallons of diesel fuel and 5 gallons of gasoline in portable containers were taken without permission on two separate occasions and their security cameras recorded a person taking them.

The two incidents occurred in the area of Brown and Aldergrove Roads. The first incident was at around 3am on December 14th and the second occurred this morning, December 16th, a little before 7am.

The resident said, “It’s just irritating and so brazen.”

Another resident reported a similar theft of a propane tank on December 10th in the area of 2nd Avenue and Cherry Street.
