The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Admiralty
Inlet area, the San Juans, western Skagit and western Whatcom counties from 4pm this afternoon to 4am tomorrow, Tuesday.
According to forecasters, windy conditions will develop late this afternoon and continue through tonight. Sustained south to southeast winds of 20 to 35mph with gusts up to 50mph are expected.
In addition to the wind, forecasters expect rain will move onto the coast this morning and spread inland this afternoon. Precipitation over portions of the interior will start briefly as snow or mixed rain and snow before turning to all rain this evening.
Temperatures are expected to reach and remain in the upper 30s after noon minimizing the opportunity for snow by the time the wet front arrives.
