FERNDALE, Wash. — A suspect who eluded Ferndale police during a recent car prowling and car theft incident was booked into jail Sunday.
Whatcom County Jail records indicate Johnny Delgado, Jr, age 34, was booked into the Whatcom County Jail by Bellingham Police on Sunday, December 15th, about 1pm.
Delgado already had a warrant for his arrest from the Department of Corrections for escape from community custody. He was also charged with suspicion of the following stemming from the December 11th incident in Ferndale:
- 3rd degree driving while his license was suspended
- attempting to elude a police vehicle
- theft of a motor vehicle
As of Monday morning, December 16th, jail records indicated Delgado remained in custody.
Delgado has prior felony convictions in Whatcom County Superior Court for possession of a stolen vehicle and attempting to elude.
