While there are roads in low-lying areas which have been closed and/or have water and debris across in places, it appears that could be the worst of flooding as the National Weather Service canceled the flood watch for Whatcom County this morning, November 14th.
The current NWS forecast for the Nooksack River at Ferndale shows it cresting around noon today at just over 17 feet, two feet below earlier predictions. The NWS credits significantly less rainfall overnight than expected.
