US President Donald Trump and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee have directed that United States flags be lowered to half-staff on September 11th in national observance of Patriot Day, the annual memorial to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on September 11th.
