This morning, President Donald Trump directed that United States flags at all federal facilities be lowered to half-staff today, July 18th, to honor the late John Lewis, a civil rights leader and longtime congressman from Georgia, who died Friday night at the age of 80 of pancreatic cancer.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset today.
Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
