A Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) library card (the one used at the Ferndale Library) can be used for a lot of things but did you know streaming and downloading music were two of them?
There are thousands of artists, tens of thousands of albums and millions of songs available to be downloaded and streamed for free just by logging into the Freegal Music service using your WCLS online credentials.
According to the Freegal Music website,
Freegal Music and the music you download are free in the sense that most things in your library are free to you as a patron of the library. The service is underwritten by your local library.

According to WCLS, patrons get to download and keep up to five songs a week and stream up to three hours of commercial-free every day for free.
Apps are available to access the music on Android and iPhone smartphones.
