New Mexico Tamale Company Co-owners Dora Ruiz and Tammy Look took to their business’ Facebook page to announce the business, located at 5687 3rd Avenue, had been closed.
No further information was forthcoming. According to customers and nearby businesses there had been no indication from the owners to indicate closing the business was anticipated.
Ruiz and Look opened the Ferndale location in 2017 after operating a food truck in and around Blaine. The 3rd Avenue building served as a commissary kitchen for their food trailer operations as well as providing ready-to-eat and frozen menu items to walk-in customers.
