DEMING, Wash. — Deming Logging Show officials have announced they are currently planning to hold the event this year, 2021, after cancelling it due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions last year.
The event has been held annually since 1963 as a fundraiser to support families of loggers who have been injured or killed on the job. It is 2 days of exhibitions and competitions on the 40-acre grounds demonstrating skills, tools and technologies used in the logging industry, past and present.
This year’s event is scheduled for June 12th and 13th and camping reservations can be made via the Deming Logging Show website beginning May 19th.
Event officials note that COVID-19 government mandates such as those that prevented last year’s event from being held, could require postponing the event yet again but they are hopeful the event will be held this year.
