According to a news release from the Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office today, the burn ban for outdoor burning in place since July 26th will be lifted effective Friday, September 9th, at 12pm.
After the ban is lifted all outdoor burning in Whatcom County will still require a permit, with the exception of recreational fires that meet specific conditions.
Residents within the Ferndale city limits are to continue to follow the permanent burn ban that prohibits land-clearing and residential burning of yard clippings and other vegetative debris in the city and adjacent urban growth areas.
