FERNDALE, Wash. — A coin toss was conducted during today’s Whatcom County Elections Canvassing Board meeting today to determine who, incumbent Teresa Taylor or challenger Paul Shuey, would be declared the winner in the 2019 General Election for Position 4 on the Ferndale City Council.
A member of the board flipped the coin and by a prior random drawing of heads and tails assignments determined the winner to be Paul Shuey when heads came up.
Shuey will be sworn in at the January 6th, 2020 City Council meeting along with the other new councilmembers-elect.
