The problem of floodwaters gushing from Washington state was raised during a meeting between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. President Joe Biden.

The closure was announced about 1pm today, November 28th, as heavy rains caused surface and river water flooding.
The road was closed in both directions about 12:30pm.
