Several Ferndale street projects get funding

One of the most frequent complaints received at city hall is about traffic. Second is about streets that have fallen into disrepair over the years. Neither issue is cheap to address but recently the staff at City of Ferndale have been able to secure funds from a variety of sources to enable doing some road repair work on well-traveled routes.

City Council Retreat Yields Wish-List Insights

city of ferndale logo 500xGiven the recent general election resulted in three new members of the Ferndale City Council, city staff held a council retreat to provide a overview of city finances, operations and departmental structure. The entire council, the mayor and city administrative staff met for over 6 hours in the conference room at the Police Department building on Monday, January 11th.

New Ferndale City Councilmember selected

After a brief period of presentations by applicants for the Ferndale City Council seat vacated when, now Ferndale Mayor, Jon Mutchler was sworn in, the seated councilmembers were able to whittle down the list to three. Mick Jolly, Victor Boulos and Cathy Watson were the nominees voted on tonight, January 4th, during the first regular Ferndale City Council meeting of 2016.
