Bellingham power outage impacts over 2,700 Wednesday

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reported an outage in the Bellingham area began shortly about 5pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

According to PSE, 2,737 homes and businesses were impacted by the outage.

As of about 5:05pm, the estimate for restoring power was 8pm.

This is the third outage in the same area since June 5th. The causes of those outages were identified as a bird or animal.
