EVERSON, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the 1900 block of Hampton Road about 2:25pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, due to reports of a barn fire.

Several fire tenders were responding, a sign that fire hydrants were not available in the area.

Whatcom County Public Works reported Hampton Road is closed between Northwood and Trapline due to the fire. No estimate on reopening.

People reportedly in the know said this was a fire in a hay barn. Whatcom County Fire District 1 reported later, “We are clear of this scene and are happy to report there were no injuries.”
