UPDATED: Wind Advisory issued for today, Saturday

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle has issued a Wind Advisory which remains in effect until 5pm this afternoon midnight. Winds are expected to increase this morning and begin decreasing late in the afternoon by midnight according to the advisory statement.

NWS says to expect southeast sustained winds between 20 and 35mph with gusts to 45mph especially in areas near the water, including Sandy Point and Lummi Island.

Weather forecast models (see graphic below) forecast the brunt of wind strength will arrive after 10pm. Wind strength will peak about midnight and linger into the early morning hours.
