Wind advisory issued through this evening (Friday)

FERNDALE, Wash. — This morning, the National Weather Service Seattle office issued a Wind Advisory for today, December 18th, from 10am to 8pm.

According to the alert, sustained south winds of 30 to 40mph with gusts to 50mph are expected in western Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan Counties.

With winds this strong, power outages resulting from downed trees and tree limbs are a possibility.
