WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Some Whatcom County areas are forecast to see low temperatures in the 30s Tuesday and Wednesday. Due to the clear skies, daytime high temps are expected to be in the 60s as well.
A frost advisory has been issued for areas south of Whatcom County where temperatures are forecast to reach the low 30s.
According to the National Weather Service, frost can harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. Areas away from the water will have the greatest chance of frost formation.
Gardeners are advised to take steps “to protect tender plants from the cold.”
