7:35am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the upper-50s around the Ferndale area under mostly clear skies with winds from the southeast. Air quality in the area is being reported in the GOOD range.
TRAFFIC
* Brown Road is scheduled to be closed between Portal Way and Malloy Road
* Expect delays on Portal Way where reduced to a single lane in some areas
* The Lummi Island ferry service will be temporarily suspended for a planned inspection and maintenance today
* 3rd Avenue is closed between Main Street and Alder Street (through September)
* The Slater Road closure and detour continues (through much of 2017).
