You are amazing.

I just want to say that the City of Ferndale water department and Cascade Natural Gas folks are awesome. They spent most of the afternoon fixing a water main break off Axton road. When they finally got it all back on, it blew out again at Judy Way and Deer Creek. Rather than have two families be without service, they are here in full force identifying and fixing the problem. By the way, it’s freezing out there right now.

Original Story
City staff alerted neighbors about 2:30pm today, December 18th, via social media that a water main had broken somewhere near Axton Road. Later a map indicating the rupture location and the areas impacted was provided.

City crews planned to turn off water at 3:30pm and begin repairs. According to the city announcements, it could be 4 hours before water service could be restored.

Affected neighborhoods cover a large area including Old Settler Drive, Deer Creek, north of Axton west of Northwest Drive and north of Green Acres Cemetery east of Northwest Drive.
