A neighbor reported her son’s skateboard had been stolen while he and friends were at the Skyline Elementary playground. The victim had earned the money to purchase the expensive “longboard” style skateboard.
According to the victim and witnesses, around 4pm Monday afternoon, August 29th, the victim and his friends had left a bike, a scooter and the orange Globe Geminon longboard up at one end of the playground while they were at the other end.
They saw an older boy “hanging out” by their things and then take off running. They ran after him but by the time they reached their things, the longboard was gone and the boy nowhere to be seen. A witness in the school parking lot told the victim he saw a teenager running with a longboard get into the passenger side of a silver car and leave. The boy was described as a white male, 15 to 17-years old, wearing a blue tie-dyed sweatshirt.
Anyone with information about the theft of this skateboard should contact the Ferndale Police Department.
